Your role

Legal Operations is at the heart of what we do. As the leading force in Belgium and neighboring countries, we empower legal departments to serve their internal clients more effectively. Our change processes and activities cover a broad range of areas, including defining the legal department’s vision and mission, refining team roles and responsibilities, implementing legal technology, knowledge management, digital transformation, vendor management, financial management, change management, and data analytics.

Your primary focus will be to elevate our Legal Operations Lab services in Belgium and abroad, driving team growth and steering its strategic direction. You’ll ensure top-tier service delivery for our international clients alongside your team and play a key role in attracting and expanding our client base.

As a senior member of the Legal Operations Lab, you’ll drive high-impact projects, serving as the primary point of contact and project manager for our international clients. In this role, you’ll bring your expertise to the forefront, mentoring and guiding team members while sharing valuable insights from your extensive experience.

Your Ask Q week will include:

Serving as the primary point of contact for various international clients, engaging daily with Executive Management, General Counsel, legal counsel, and business teams.
Inspiring, motivating, and guiding a team of dedicated Legal Operations Lab experts, with the objective of enhancing legal departments' ability to effectively (better) serve their internal clients.
Leading client interviews and facilitating (design thinking) workshops to identify and address client challenges, crafting tailored solutions.
Translating these solutions into actionable plans, from streamlined processes to technological tools.

Testing solutions using lean methodology, gathering client feedback to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
Keeping a pulse on ongoing projects through project management principles and tools.
Supporting clients through essential change management processes to ensure successful project outcomes.
Participating in business development and sales initiatives to accelerate the growth of the Legal Operations Lab team.
Continuously seeking improvements in client workflows and conducting horizon scans in legal technology and operations.
Engaging in pilot programs to test innovative business ideas and new collaboration.

Your profile & skills

You have

at least 7 years of relevant professional experience
at least 3 years of experience in in-house legal departments, successfully leading process improvement projects
a knack for quickly learning and adapting to new technologies and tools

You are

Fluent in English, and Dutch and/or French
Skilled at energizing and guiding teams, with strengths in coordination, coaching, and motivating others to drive progress
Someone with a positive outlook and a ‘can-do’ mentality who approaches challenges with optimism and resilience
A high-caliber individual with outstanding problem-solving and communication skills
Detail-oriented and organized
A strong team player
